Sean Stewart is an instructor in the School of Mass Communications and teaches in the undergraduate and graduate public relations programs. Most recently, he has taught Public Relations, PR Graphics, PR Research and Strategic PR in a Digital Environment.
Before arriving at VCU, he taught advertising and public relations for three years at Marshall University. He also has worked in communications for the West Virginia State Treasurer’s Office and Charles Ryan Associates.
Stewart received his bachelor’s degree in journalism, with an emphasis in advertising, in 2002 from Marshall University. In 2004, he received his master’s degree in journalism, with an emphasis in public relations, from Marshall University.
He also is a Media, Art and Text Ph.D. candidate at Virginia Commonwealth University. His doctoral research is focused in crisis communications.
Stewart is originally from Cross Lanes, West Virginia and has a wife, daughter, son and two cats.
